MEDELLÍN - NATURE RESERVE “LA ROMERA”

The “Romera” Reserve is located in the hills of the Sabaneta municipality next to Medellín. The size of the protected area is about 181 hectares and it is home to approx. 154 species, some endemic and others migratory. In four hours you explore the reserve on a trail about 5 km long and walk up from 2.000 m to 2.200 m in altitude. This site is fairly well-known as one of the best spots to look for the Red-bellied Grackle and the Yellow-headed Manakin. The ecosystem of Andean cloud forest also offers an amazing variety of Andean flora.
