Day 1: Colonial Colombia in Santa Fé de Antioquia
Take a ride through the unique landscape of the Western highlands of Antioquia to explore the colonial treasure of the region: Santa Fé de Antioquia. Founded in 1541 on the Western bank of the Cauca River, it became the first capital of Antioquia in 1584. Continue with a guided tour around the city, which is declared a national cultural heritage thanks to its colonial architecture with many historic churches, plazas and palaces. Spend the night in a comfortable colonial hotel in the historic centre of Santa Fé de Antioquia.
Day 2: Puente de Occidente, Colonial Sucre & the waterfalls of Anzá (B)
Visit the famous “Puente del Occidente”, the longest suspension bridge in Colombia and explore the idyllic colonial settlement Sucre – which seems to be suspended in time due to its remote location. Afterwards travel towards the waterfalls of Anzá and enjoy a refreshing bath in the pristine river pool before heading back to Medellín.
